Duolin LD Respules is a combination medicine of Ipratropium and Levosalbutamol. This medicine is used to relieve symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, breathing difficulties, coughing, etc. caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (a lung disorder in which the airflow is blocked leading to breathing difficulty). Duolin LD Respules works by relaxing and widening the muscles in your airways.

Duolin LD Respules may cause some side effects like headache, cough, mouth dryness, nausea, constipation, etc. Inform your doctor if the side effects become severe or persist for a long time. Avoid taking Duolin LD Respules if you are allergic to it.

Duolin LD Respules should be used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. For the ease of remembering, use it around the same time every day. Even if you see an improvement in your condition, do not stop taking it. If you discontinue the use of this medicine early, your symptoms may return or worsen.

Duolin LD Respules is not recommended for use in children less than 12 years of age. Inform your doctor about any other health issues like liver, kidney, heart troubles or if you are undergoing any medical treatment before taking this medicine. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a lung problem that blocks airflow and makes it very difficult to breathe. Duolin LD Respules relaxes and widens the muscles of the airways. Thus, this medicine is used to prevent and treat the symptoms associated with COPD.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Duolin LD Respules if you are allergic to it. Allergic reactions are very rare to this medicine. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching/swelling (of the face/tongue/throat), breathing difficulties, etc.
Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy
Duolin LD Respules is not recommended for use in people with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (an abnormal condition of the heart, where the heart muscles become thickened and the heart is not able to pump the blood effectively) due to an increased risk of worsening of your condition.

Dosage

Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of Duolin LD Respules, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact your doctor in case of an overdose of Duolin LD Respules.

General Instructions

Use Duolin LD Respules exactly as prescribed. The prescribed frequency and duration of uptake are specific as per your needs.

Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller quantities or for longer than recommended. Consult your doctor if you experience any side effects. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Duolin LD Respules is only for inhalation. The tablet should not be swallowed. It is recommended to be taken every day at the same time.

It does not act immediately and should not be used to treat acute respiratory problems.

It may cause mouth dryness. Use mouth rinses, maintain dental hygiene, increase water consumption, and consume sugarless sweets to avoid dry mouth. To avoid fungal infections in your mouth and throat, gargle with warm water after each inhalation.

Take the initial dose of Duolin LD Respules under medical supervision because it might induce bronchospasm (wheezing or tightness of the airways) right after usage.
