What is it prescribed for?
Hypertension
This medicine is used to reduce high blood pressure levels (hypertension) which may be caused by genetic and/or environmental factors.
Angina pectoris
This medicine is used for the prevention and treatment of angina pectoris which is a type of heart disease characterized by chest pain or pressure and heaviness in the chest. It may be caused by various factors including emotional stress, smoking, coronary artery disease, etc.
Congestive Heart Failure
This medicine is used in the treatment of congestive heart failure which is a type of heart disease where the heart cannot pump the blood properly for the circulation of the blood.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to diltiazem or any other inactive ingredients present along with the formulation.
Acute myocardial infarction
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known case of myocardial infarction (blockage of the blood flow to the heart and its muscles)
Sick sinus syndrome
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with sick sinus syndrome except in the presence of a functioning ventricular pacemaker.

Dosage

Missed Dose

Overdose
