Doverin A Tablet

Doverin 40 MG Tablet is an antispasmodic medicine which relaxes the muscle gives and effective relief from pain, spasm or twitches of the smooth muscles in the stomach and heart. It is used to relieve pain caused due to irritable bowel syndrome, headache, menstrual periods, and is also used to relieve cervical spasm during labour.

What is it prescribed for?
Smooth muscle spasm (Rigid and painful smooth muscles)
This medicine is used to relieve smooth muscle spasms of the gastrointestinal tract, heart, and other organs associated with various diseases.
Functional bowel disorder (Difficulty in movement of bowels in intestine)
This medicine is used to relax the intestinal muscles and allows the free passage for bowels.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to drotaverine or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.
Sever liver/kidney damage
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe impairment of kidney/liver function due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects.
Heart Failure
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from heart failure, a condition characterized by insufficient pumping of blood, since it may worsen the patient’s condition.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

Take this medicine as instructed by the doctor. Follow all the instructions mentioned on the label. Do not take in larger or smaller quantities than recommended. This medicine can be taken with or without food. An adequate amount of water should be consumed while taking this medicine.
