Diprobate G Plus Cream is a combination of Betamethasone, Gentamicin, and Zinc Sulfate. It is a topical medicine used in the treatment of skin conditions such as Eczema and Psoriasis that have become infected by bacteria. This medicine prevents the release of substances that causes skin swelling, redness, and itching. It also stops the growth of infection-causing bacteria.

Diprobate G Plus Cream shows side effects like burning sensation, itching, dryness, and skin rash at the application site. However, these side effects are rare and may subside by themselves. If they continue to bother, consult your doctor.

Diprobate G Plus Cream is for external use only. Wash and dry the affected area before application. Use it regularly as directed by your doctor. Do not apply more than the required quantity. Avoid using on genitals and rectal areas of your body. Avoid applying this medicine to other areas of the body and to other skin conditions. Your skin condition will improve in two to four weeks of application. If you do not see any improvement, consult your doctor.

Diprobate G Plus Cream is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, or are breastfeeding. This medicine is not recommended for use in children below one year of age. Children below 12 years of age should not use this medicine for more than five days.

Uses of Diprobate G Plus Cream

What is it prescribed for?
Steroid responsive skin infections
Eczema and Psoriasis are steroid-responsive skin conditions ( (skin disorders that respond to a class of medications known as steroids). It causes patches of itchiness, swelling, redness, and broken skin. Itching in psoriasis is mild compared to eczema. Eczema leads to intense itching and scratching that results in bleeding. Further, these affected skin areas may become infected. Hence, Diprobate G Plus Cream is used to treat steroid-responsive dermatoses like Eczema, Psoriasis, or other skin diseases that have become infected by bacteria.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid using Diprobate G Plus Cream if your allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have a history of allergy to this medication. If you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching, blisters, swelling, hives, etc. inform your doctor and seek medical attention immediately.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Apply the missed dose of Diprobate G Plus Cream as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not apply a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
An overdose of Diprobate G Plus Cream may cause mild side effects. However, the ingestion of this medicine may cause harm and immediate medical intervention may be required.

General Instructions

Apply a thin layer of Diprobate G Plus Cream to the affected areas of your skin as instructed by your doctor. Follow all the usage instructions mentioned on the label or the package insert.

Avoid applying Diprobate G Plus Cream in larger or smaller quantities than recommended.

Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, nostrils, and broken skin. Avoid applying on the genitals (vagina and penis) and rectal (anus) areas of your body.

Avoid covering the application area with bandages or other coverings unless specifically instructed by your doctor.
