Cremagel-H Cream

Cremagel-H Cream is a combination medicine consisting of metronidazole, lidocaine and sucralfate. It is used rectally to treat anal fissures and helps in relieving pain and swelling due to fissures and haemorrhoids. This medicine is also used to reduce pain after anorectal surgeries. Cremagel-H Cream works by killing the bacteria that causes infection and promotes healing of infection. It also reduces pain by blocking pain signals to the brain.

Cremagel-H Cream shows common side effects that include rectal bleeding, skin rash, burning sensation, itching and irritation at the application site, etc. If any of these symptoms persist for a long time or bothers you, consult your doctor immediately. Avoid using Cremagel-H Cream if previously allergic to it. This cream is not recommended to use in children as safety has not been studied.

Cremagel-H Cream is for external use only. Wash and dry the affected area before application. Apply a small quantity of Cremagel-H Cream to the affected area as instructed by your doctor. Make sure to wash your hands before and after use. Avoid contact with your eyes, ears, nose and mouth. In case of accidental contact, wash it immediately with water. Cremagel-H Cream is used to treat anal fissures. It relieves pain, itching and swelling of the smooth muscles present in the anus.
Hemorrhoids
Haemorrhoids (piles) is a condition of inflamed/swollen veins occurring in the lower part of the rectum and anus. These can be of 2 types. The internal haemorrhoids are not painful and can be relieved on their own. The external haemorrhoids are painful and require medical treatment. You may experience bleeding and discomfort while sitting. Cremagel-H Cream helps in reducing pain, burning, itching, etc., that occurs due to hemorrhoids.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid using Cremagel-H Cream if you are allergic to any of the content of this medicine. Inform your doctor if there is a history of allergy to this medicine. Contact your doctor and seek medical attention immediately if you notice any symptoms like skin rash, itching/swelling, dizziness, breathing difficulties, etc.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Apply the missed dose of Cremagel-H Cream as soon as you remember. Do not apply two times to compensate for the missed dose.
Overdose
Never use more than the prescribed dose of Cremagel-H Cream. In case of an overdose, contact your doctor and seek immediate medical attention.

General Instructions

Cremagel-H Cream is an external preparation, therefore contact with the mouth, eyes, nose, ears should be avoided. In case of accidental contact, wash with water thoroughly.

Follow all the usage instructions mentioned on the label or the package insert before application. Wear gloves and apply a small amount of this cream to the affected area as instructed by the doctor.

Cremagel-H Cream may take 10-15 days to show its action. Finish your entire course of treatment even if your symptoms begin to clear up after a few days. Avoid scratching the affected area as it can worsen the infection. Eat a high fibre content and drink lots of water for easy passage of stools.
