Description
Cephadex 125 MG Tablet DT is a cephalosporin antibiotic medicine that contains cephalexin. It is used in children to treat bacterial infections affecting the throat, ears, skin, bone, teeth, urinary bladder, and kidneys of your child. It kills or stops the growth of bacteria that causes infections. It should be used to treat bacterial infections only. It is not effective against infections caused by viruses.
Cephadex 125 MG Tablet DT shows common side effects like diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. These symptoms subside when your child’s body adapt to this medicine. However, consult your doctor if these side effects bother your child. Cephadex 125 MG Tablet DT can also cause diarrhoea and rashes if used for a long time. Inform your doctor if the diarrhoea is severe or if there is blood in the stools of your child. Do not give this medicine if your child is allergic to it.
Cephadex 125 MG Tablet DT can be given with or without food but it is advised to give this medicine with food to avoid stomach irritation. For ease of remembering, take Cephadex 125 MG Tablet DT around the same time every day. Strictly follow the instructions given by your child’s doctor while giving this medicine to your child. Once Cephadex 125 MG Tablet DT therapy is started, it is always recommended to finish the entire course to avoid bacterial resistance. Using Cephadex 125 MG Tablet DT when it is not required can make it less effective for treating future infections.
Cephadex 125 MG Tablet DT can interact with other medicines. Before taking Cephadex 125 MG Tablet DT, inform your doctor about your child’s entire medical history including all the medicines he/she may be taking.
