BANDRONE 150MG TABLET belongs to groups of medications called ‘antiosteoporotic medications’ used to prevent and treat age-related elderly osteoporosis and postmenopausal osteoporosis in women (after menopause). BANDRONE 150MG TABLET helps to reduce the risk of spine and hip fractures. Osteoporosis is a medical condition in which bone becomes thin or weak. When a woman reaches her menopause stages, her ovaries stop making the female hormone (estrogen) responsible for keeping a woman’s bone health. Due to the loss of estrogen, bone loss starts happens, and bones become weak. The earlier a woman reaches to her menopause, the more the chances of osteoporosis. If proper treatment is not provided, it can even result in brittle bones, increasing bone fracture risk.

BANDRONE 150MG TABLET contains ‘Ibandronic acid‘ which is a bisphosphonate. It prevents bone fracture by slowing the bone loss, thereby keeping the bones strong and increasing the bone thickness. It also helps in rebuilding bones which reduces the risk of spine and hip fractures.

Your doctor will advise you how often you take BANDRONE 150MG TABLET based on your medical condition. BANDRONE 150MG TABLET may cause undesirable effects like stomach pain, heartburn, difficulty swallowing, difficulty or pain upon swallowing. Most of these side effects of BANDRONE 150MG TABLET do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen stop taking BANDRONE 150MG TABLET and consult your doctor.

The use of BANDRONE 150MG TABLET is restricted in persons who are allergic to any constituent of medication or have problems with oesophagus or low calcium levels in the blood. This medicine should not be taken by a person who cannot sit upright stand for at least half an hour after taking this drug. This medication can increase the risk of jaw bone problems (osteonecrosis), high in persons with pre-existing dental problems, or people treated with steroids, cancer, blood cell disorders, or radiation. This medicine is only a part of a complete treatment program that includes bone mineral density testing, diet changes, exercise, and taking calcium and vitamin supplements, so follow all the doctor’s directions.

BANDRONE 150MG TABLET is a bisphosphonate used to prevent and treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and the elderly (above 65 years of age). It prevents the loss of bones that happen after menopause and helps to rebuild bones.  The BANDRONE 150MG TABLET contains ‘Ibandronic Acid’ which helps maintain strong bones and reduces fracture chances. It also increases bone thickness and rebuilds bones, reducing the risk of spine and hip fractures. BANDRONE 150MG TABLET is also indicated for the treatment of increasing bone mass in men with osteoporosis, glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis and Paget’s disease of bone.

Use BANDRONE 150MG TABLET exactly as prescribed by a doctor. Take BANDRONE 150MG TABLET without food on an empty stomach with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break it. Stay sitting up straight or standing for 30 min to 1hour after you have taken the tablet. If you are in bed, sit upright supported with pillows, so the medicine does not irritate your food pipe.
