The Atlura tablet Tablet has Lurasidone as a single active ingredient. It belongs to a class of atypical antipsychotic medicines. The mode of action of the Atlura tablet is by stabilising the levels of specific chemical messengers, which help to manage the mood and lower the overactivity in the brain. Follow your doctor’s direction for the use of Risperdal tablets. This medicine can cause death in elderly patients with memory loss associated with psychotic disorders. It can also cause suicidal thoughts in young adults. If you are an elderly patient diagnosed with dementia-related psychosis. There is an increased risk of stroke and even death

Atlura Tablet contains Lurasidone as its active component. Lurasidone belongs to the class of medications called atypical antipsychotics. Do not change the dose of Atlura tablet, even if you do not see its effects

Do not try to break this tablet or chew it, and the pill as a whole with a glass of water

Interactions with other medicines

Carbamazepine – decreases the levels of Atlura tablets

Antivirals (ritonavir) and Antibiotics (Rifampin and clarithromycin) – these medicines may slow down how quickly the liver processes Atlura tablets.

Antifungals (Ketoconazole, voriconazole) – increases the levels of these tablets

Mibefradil – also increases the levels of Atlura tablets.

Anti-seizure medication (Phenytoin) – lowers the effectiveness of Atlura tablets.

Herbal medications (St. John’s wort) – may cause serotonin syndrome which causes life-threatening side effects and even death due to high serotonin levels in blood.

There are many other medications that can interact with Atlura tablets such as other antipsychotics, antidepressants, sedatives, antihistamines, etc. They can change the effectiveness of each other. Dosage should be carefully monitored.
Interactions with food items

Avoid having grapefruit juice or fruit. This medicine interacts with grapefruit and blocks its metabolism, possibly increasing its blood levels.

Do not take herbal medicine St John’s wort. It increases serotonin levels, leading to a very serious condition called serotonin toxicity.
Storage and disposal of Atlura 40 MG
Store Atlura tablets in dry conditions and at room temperature. Keep these medicines away from wet surfaces, direct sunlight, and humid conditions. Keep Atlura Tablets away from children and pets. Dosage of Atlura 40 MG
Overdose
Atlura Tablet overdose can cause dizziness, agitation, tremors, convulsion, nausea, vomiting, increased heart rate, low blood pressure, sleep disturbances, diminished reflexes, confusion and loss of consciousness. If you overdose on Atlura medicine and experi,ence any of these symptoms, immediately seek emergency medical treatment from a hospital close to you.
Missed a Dose
If you have missed a dose of Atlura Tablet, take it as soon as you recall. If you remember when it is already time to take the next dose of Atlura tablet, take the scheduled dose and skip the missed one. If you have any doubts about the dosage of Atlura Tablet, talk to your doctor. Do not take both doses together, as it can lead to unwanted side effects.
