Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s belongs to a class of drugs called antifungals used to treat various fungal and yeast infections of skin, mouth, nails, hands, feet, digestive tract, throat, vagina and other parts of the body. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and cause infection. Fungal infections may be contagious (spread from one person to another). Yeast infection is caused by a type of fungus called candida and commonly occurs in moist and warm areas of the body.

The fungal cell membranes are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stops the leakage of cell contents. Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s works by inhibiting the production of ergosterol (a main component of cell membranes of fungi). Thereby, weakens and damages the fungal cell membranes causing the main components of fungal cells to leak out. Thus, kills fungi and clears the fungal infection.

Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s is available in both oral, injection and topical dosage forms. The oral dosage form of Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. The injection form of Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s is given as an intravenous (IV) infusion by a doctor or nurse. The topical form of Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s can be taken on the finger and applied as a thin layer on the clean and dry affected area. Avoid contact of Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s with nose, mouth or eyes. In case Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Some people may experience nausea, headache, diarrhoea, tiredness, cough, cold, throat pain, back pain and stomach pain. Most of these side effects of Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s is a pregnancy category C drug and may cause harm to the unborn baby. However, if you are pregnant, planning for pregnancy or a nursing mother, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s. Do not take Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s if you had heart failure as it may cause severe life-threatening adverse effects. If you have kidney, liver, heart or lung problems, inform your doctor before taking Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s. Avoid taking fentanyl (a strong opioid narcotic medicine) with Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s as it may cause severe breathing problems and can even lead to death. If you experience numbness or tingling in your hands or feet, stop taking Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s and consult your doctor immediately as they might be symptoms of nerve damage.

Orally: If you are prescribed Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s in oral form, swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water. If you are taking any stomach acid reducer, take Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s with cola. Take Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s with food to avoid stomach upset. Do not break, crush or chew it. If it is oral suspension form, shake the bottle well before use and take Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s an empty stomach at least 1 or 2 hours before meals as prescribed by your doctor with a measuring cup or spoon provided.Injection: Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s in injection form is given as an intravenous (IV) infusion by a doctor or nurse.Topically: Use Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s as prescribed by your doctor. Wash your hands before and after applying Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s. Take a small amount of Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s and apply as a thin layer on the clean and dry affected area. Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s is only for external use. Avoid contact of Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s with eyes as it may cause irritation. In case Altispor 200mg Capsule 10’s comes in contact with eyes accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly.

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight
