AF 50 Tablet (Fluconazole 50mg)

AF 50MG contains Fluconazole belongs to a group of medicines called antifungals. It is used to treat the infections caused by fungi and soothes irritated skin and relieves the fungal itch. It works by stopping fungi and yeasts from producing a substance called ergosterol, which is an essential component of their cell membranes. This causes holes to appear in cell membranes, which allows essential constituents of the fungal or yeast cells to leak out.

Always take this medicine as directed by physician. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of therapy depending upon your age, weight and condition. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. It is recommended for the use in children and adolescents as advised by a doctor. Do not take AF 50MG if you have abnormal levels of potassium, calcium or magnesium in your blood. It should be used with caution in the pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Tell your doctor, if you are taking or taken or might take any other medicines. The most common side effects include headache, stomach discomfort, diarrhea, feeling sick, vomiting, increases in blood tests of liver function and rash.

Drink lot of fluid, such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration. Do not take any other medicine without consulting your doctor.
