Description

Tafnat Tablet is an antiviral medicine. It is used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, a serious liver infection. It prevents the multiplication of the hepatitis B virus and enhances the clearing of infection.

Tafnat Tablet shows side effects like headache, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, muscle pain, etc. It may also cause dizziness. Hence, avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel dizzy after taking this medicine. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it.

Tafnat Tablet may be taken with food. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of treatment based on the severity of your condition. Try not to miss a dose and ensure to complete the course of treatment for better results. Take this medicine at the same time every day for the ease of remembering.

It may further increase the risk of severe liver damage, permanent scarring of the liver, and cancer. Tafnat Tablet is used in the treatment of chronic Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Tafnat Tablet if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.

Warnings

Dosage

Missed Dose

Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose. Seek immediate medical attention if you suspect an overdose of Tafnat Tablet.

General Instructions
Take Tafnat Tablet with food as this increases the absorption of the medicine in your body.

This medicine may cause dizziness. Avoid driving vehicles or performing activities that require mental alertness until you know how it affects you.

You can spread the infection to other people even if you are taking this medicine. Hence, avoid sexual intercourse without protection. Also, avoid sharing needles or personal items that can have blood or body fluids on them.

Avoid consumption of alcohol as it may increase the risk of liver damage.

During treatment and for at least six months after stopping this medicine, your doctor may recommend regular blood tests to monitor your liver function.
