Gram-negative Bacterial Infections
This medicine is used in the treatment of various infections caused by susceptible gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Acinetobacter strains, Klebsiella strains, etc.
Chronic Pulmonary Infections
This medicine is used in the treatment of chronic pulmonary infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa in patients with cystic fibrosis.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to colistimethate, any other medicine belonging to the polymyxin antibiotic group, or any other inactive ingredients present along with it.

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with a known history of myasthenia gravis, patients with an impaired renal function, patients taking any other drugs with neuromuscular blocking potential due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects including respiratory arrest. Close monitoring of clinical condition, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition of the patient.
Impaired Kidney Infection
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with kidney diseases due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition. Close monitoring of kidney function, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition of the patient.
Driving or Operating machinery
Use of this medicine may cause symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, etc. in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.
