Description

Telma 20 MG Tablet is a medicine used to treat high blood pressure. This medicine also reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke by lowering blood pressure. It can also be used in diabetics to protect kidney function and prevent further damage. It works by relaxing your blood vessels and promoting the free flow of blood.

Telma 20 MG Tablet has some side effects like back pain, stomach pain, weakness, diarrhoea, sinus pain, and congestion. These side effects may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if they bother you for a longer time or worsen. Avoid activities that require high mental alertness like driving vehicles and operating machines as this medicine may cause dizziness. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it.

Telma 20 MG Tablet can be taken with or without food or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Telma 20 MG Tablet relaxes your blood vessels, making it easier for your heart to pump blood. Therefore, it is used to reduce the risk of coronary artery disorder (a condition caused by plaque buildup in the wall of the arteries that supply blood to the heart) and stroke (insufficient blood supply to your brain), especially in the elderly. This medicine can also be used in diabetes to reduce the risk of kidney damage.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Telma 20 MG Tablet if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Severe liver disease
Telma 20 MG Tablet is broken down and absorbed in your liver. Hence, this medicine is not recommended if you have pre-existing liver problems as it may lead to the accumulation of this medicine in your blood and increase the risk of side effects. It may also cause further liver damage.
2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy
Telma 20 MG Tablet is not recommended for use in the second and third trimester of pregnancy as it may harm your foetus.

Dosage

Missed Dose
