Overview

Taceedo Injection is used for Breast cancer, Non-small cell lung cancer, Prostate cancer, Gastric adenocarcinoma, Head and neck cancer and other conditions. Taceedo Injection may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Taceedo Injection contains Docetaxel as an active ingredient.
Taceedo Injection works by disrupting the microtubular network in cells that is essential for mitotic and interphase cellular functions, thereby inhibiting cell growth.

Taceedo Injection is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
Breast cancer
Non-small cell lung cancer
Prostate cancer
Gastric adenocarcinoma
Head and neck cancer

Side-effects

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Taceedo Injection. This is not a comprehensive list. Neutropenia
Anemia
Febrile neutropenia
Hypersensitivity
Thrombocytopenia
Neuropathy
Dysgeusia
Dyspnea
Constipation
Anorexia
Nail disorders
Fluid retention
Asthenia
Pain
Nausea
Diarrhea
Vomiting
Mucositis
Alopecia
Skin reactions
Myalgia
Taceedo Injection may also cause side-effects not listed here.

Precautions

Before using Taceedo Injection, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.
Adherence to oral corticosteroid regimen is necessary to reduce the severity of fluid retention and hypersensitivity reactions
Avoid driving or operate machinery
Avoid pregnancy
Monitor blood cell counts and temperature frequently
Presence of hepatic impairment
Report fever
Report myalgia, cutaneous, or neurologic reactions
Report signs of hypersensitivity
Risk of acute myeloid leukemia
Risk of cystoid macular edema

Interactions with Taceedo Injection

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Taceedo Injection may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Taceedo Injection may interact with the following drugs and products:
Atazanavir
Clarithromycin
Darunavir
Indinavir
Itraconazole
Ketoconazole
Lopinavir
Nefazodone
Nelfinavir
Ritonavir

When not to use Taceedo Injection

Hypersensitivity to Taceedo Injection is a contraindication. In addition, Taceedo Injection should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Patients with neutrophil counts of less than 1500 cells/mm3
