About Sumo L Plus 60ml
Sumo L Plus 60ml belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID’s) used for the treatment of pain, inflammation, migraine headache, period pain, heavy bleeding during periods, muscle pain, tooth pain, joint pain, pain after surgery, ear pain, fever, flu, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body.
Sumo L Plus 60ml is a combination of two drugs, namely: Mefenamic acid and Paracetamol. Sumo L Plus60ml blocks the effect of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzyme that makes other chemical prostaglandins (PG). By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser PGs are produced. This helps in reducing mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site.
You can take Sumo L Plus60ml with or without food. Take Sumo L Plus60ml as prescribed. You are advised to take Sumo L Plus60ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. You may experience certain common side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, indigestion, heartburn, and diarrhoea in some cases. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.
Sumo L Plus 60ml can increase your risk of fatal heart attack or stroke. So, if you have had any recent heart surgery, do not take Sumo L Plus 60ml. Sumo L Plus 60ml increases the chances of stomach ulcers and bleeding. Do not take Sumo L Plus 60ml if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed. Sumo L Plus60ml may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Sumo L Plus 60ml is not recommended for children as the safety have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol, and Sumo L Plus 60ml as it could lead to increased dizziness and increase stomach bleeding risk. Drug Warnings
Do not take Sumo L Plus 60ml if you are allergic to any of its contents; if you have severe heart, kidney or liver failure, and have suffered bleeding problems such as bleeding from stomach or bowels while taking any pain killers or having peptic ulcers or inflammatory bowel disease. Sumo L Plus60ml can increase the risk of fatal heart attack or stroke, gastrointestinal bleeding, ulceration, and perforation of stomach and intestines. Inform your doctor before taking Sumo L Plus60ml if you have high blood pressure, heart problems, high cholesterol, dehydration, asthma, liver and kidney problems. Do not take Sumo L Plus60ml if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed. Sumo L Plus60ml may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Sumo L Plu 60ml is not recommended for children as the safety have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol, and Sumo L Plus60ml as it could lead to increased dizziness and increase stomach bleeding risk. Stop taking Sumo L Plus60ml and consult your doctor immediately if you have stomach pain or any signs of bleeding in intestine or stomach such as blood in stools. Do not take any other NSAID’s for pain relief along with Sumo L Plus 60ml unless prescribed by the doctor.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Sumo L Plus 60ml may have interaction with pain killers (aspirin, ibuprofen, celecoxib, diclofenac, naproxen), anti-gout (probenecid), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine, tacrolimus), anticoagulants (warfarin, heparin), anti-rheumatoid (methotrexate), anti-HIV (zidovudine), anti-depressant (duloxetine, lithium, fluoxetine, sertraline), and steroid medication (mifepristone), anti-emetic (metoclopramide, domperidone), anti-cancer (imatinib), and bile acid sequestrants (cholestyramine).
Food-Drug Interactions: Avoid alcohol consumption while taking Sumo L Plus 60ml as it might cause increased dizziness and risk of stomach bleeding.
