Sudif Cream (Fusidic Acid 2%)

Description

Sudif 2 % Cream is an antibiotic medicine that is primarily used in the treatment of bacterial infections of skin and hair follicles. It is also used to provide relief from symptoms such as swelling, redness, pain, itching, rashes, discharge from the infected site associated with bacterial infections like impetigo and folliculitis. This medicine works by stopping protein synthesis in bacteria thereby killing the bacteria.

Sudif 2 % Cream may cause some side effects like dry skin, rashes, blistering of the skin, irritation or burning sensation at the site of application. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen. Your doctor may suggest you to perform a patch test, before starting treatment with Fusidic acid to check if this medicine is safe and non-allergenic for you. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it.

Sudif 2 % Cream is for external use only. It is available as creams, ointment, dusting powder and lotion dosage forms. Your doctor will decide the dosage form, dose and duration of use based on your condition. Before application clean and dry the affected area. Apply a thin layer over the affected parts of the skin. Avoid direct contact with your eyes, nose and mouth. Rinse with water immediately if the medicine comes in contact with these areas.

Sudif 2 % Cream may take a few days to improve your condition. Therefore, complete the whole treatment for its better result. Use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor for the recommended duration only. Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding. Uses of Sudif 2 % Cream

What is it prescribed for?
Skin infections
Sudif 2 % Cream is used to treat skin infections, infected cuts or abrasions caused by bacteria, especially in children. The medicine helps in treating non-severe, superficial (only skin level), non-extensive and primary skin infections (a skin infection that you are experiencing for the first time).
Impetigo
Sudif 2 % Cream is used to treat impetigo, a skin infection caused by bacteria, cuts or abrasions, especially in children. This infection causes red, itchy sores or blisters which can rupture and ooze.
Folliculitis
Sudif 2 % Cream is used to treat folliculitis, a condition where the hair follicles are inflamed (irritated and swollen) due to bacterial infection. This infection causes itchy or painful red bumps or white pimples around the base of the hair follicle.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid using Sudif 2 % Cream if you are allergic to it. If you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching, blisters, swelling, hives (painful eruptions that itch and sting), etc., at the site of application, seek medical attention immediately.
