Description

Rosuvas D 10 Tablet is a combination medicine that consists of Rosuvastatin and Vitamin D3. It is used in the treatment of hyperlipidaemia (a condition in which there are high levels of fat particles (lipids) in the blood). This medicine reduces the bad cholesterol level and fat in your blood and thus prevents the risk of heart attack and stroke (a condition that occurs due to a decrease in blood supply to your brain). Rosuvas D 10 Tablet works by reducing the formation of cholesterol in the body by inhibiting the HMG-CoA-reductase (an enzyme that is required to make cholesterol).

Rosuvas D 10 Tablet may cause side effects like nausea, stomach pain, constipation, headache and weakness. Usually, these side effects resolve on their own. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines after taking Rosuvas D 10 Tablet as it may cause dizziness.

Rosuvas D 10 Tablet is a prescription medicine. Take it with or without food or as advised by your doctor. Take this medicine at the same time every day for ease of remembering. Do not stop taking Rosuvas D 10 Tablet without consulting your doctor.

Rosuvas D 10 Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. This medicine may interact with many other medicines. When not to use?

Allergy

Use in elderly
Rosuvas D 10 Tablet should be used with caution in the elderly as it may cause kidney failure and serious side effects.
Use in children

Dosage

Missed Dose
Do not skip any dose of Rosuvas D 10 Tablet. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one.
Overdose

General Instructions

Inform your doctor if you experience stomach pain, loss of appetite, a sick feeling, dark urine, muscle pain or weakness, associated with fever.

Avoid alcohol consumption while using Rosuvas D 10 Tablet.

Do not perform activities such as driving vehicles or operating machines after taking this medicine as it may cause dizziness.

Keep the medicine away from the reach of children and pets. Ensure that the unused medicine is disposed of properly.
