Description

Rosulip F (10/160 mg) Tablet is a medicine that consists of Rosuvastatin and Fenofibrate. It is used in the treatment of hyperlipidaemia (high levels of fat). It helps to reduce the level of bad cholesterol and fats in the body and thus prevents the risk of heart attack and stroke. Rosulip F (10/160 mg) Tablet works by reducing the formation of cholesterol in the body. It also increases the natural fat breakdown in the body.

Rosulip F (10/160 mg) Tablet may cause side effects like nausea, stomach pain, constipation, headache and excessive gas in your stomach. Usually, these side effects resolve on their own. Consult your doctor if any of these effects persist or worsen. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it.

Hyperlipidaemia is a condition in which there are high levels of fat particles (lipids) in the blood. Rosulip F (10/160 mg) Tablet reduces the level of cholesterol, removes the bad cholesterol (LDL) and increases the levels of good cholesterol (HDL) in your blood.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Rosulip F (10/160 mg) Tablet if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Liver disease
Avoid taking Rosulip F (10/160 mg) Tablet if you have liver problems like biliary cirrhosis (a condition that harms the liver’s ability to function). This medicine may further increase the elevated levels of cholesterol in your body.
Renal dysfunction
Rosulip F (10/160 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use if you have kidney problems. This medicine is exerted through urine and improper kidney function may lead to its accumulation. It may further lead to rhabdomyolysis (leakage of muscle contents into the blood circulation) and severe hyperkalemia (high level of potassium in your blood).
Gallbladder disease
Rosulip F (10/160 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use if you have gallbladder conditions due to the increased risk of gallbladder stones.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Do not skip any dose of Rosulip F (10/160 mg) Tablet. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next, skip the missed dose. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose of Rosulip F (10/160 mg) Tablet. If you suspect that you might have taken an overdose of this medicine, consult your doctor.

Interactions

General Instructions
Take Rosulip F (10/160 mg) Tablet with food to avoid stomach irritation. Do not crush, break or chew the tablet in your mouth.

Inform your doctor if you experience stomach pain, loss of appetite, a sick feeling, dark urine, muscle pain or weakness, associated with fever.

Avoid alcohol consumption while using this medicine.
