Description
Roseday-A 10 Capsule is a combination of Rosuvastatin and Aspirin. It lowers the bad cholesterol and triglyceride (type of fats) levels in your body. It also prevents the risk of heart attack and stroke (a condition that causes reduced oxygen supply to the brain). This medicine works by dissolving the blood clot and reducing the production of unwanted fats in your body.
Roseday-A 10 Capsule has some side effects like nausea, muscle pain, weakness, headache, stomach pain and discomfort, etc. These side effects are mild and may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if they bother you for a long time or become severe. This medicine may also increase the risk of bleeding.
Roseday-A 10 Capsule may be taken after a meal to avoid stomach irritation. Take it every day at the same time for the ease of remembering. Avoid taking more than the prescribed dose as it may lead to side effects. Avoid the discontinuation of this medicine without consulting your doctor as it may worsen your condition.
Roseday-A 10 Capsule is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Avoid taking this medicine if you have bleeding problems, or severe liver or kidney problems. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines, or have any other medical conditions before starting the treatment.
Roseday-A 10 Capsule is not recommended for use in children below 16 years of age due to lack of safety data. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding.

Uses of Roseday-A 10 Capsule
What is it prescribed for?
Hyperlipidaemia
Hyperlipidaemia refers to a high level of bad cholesterol and triglycerides (type of fats) in your blood. It may increase the risk of heart problems like atherosclerotic arterial disease (a condition that occurs due to the buildup of fats, cholesterol, and other substances in the walls of your blood vessels). Hence, Roseday-A 10 Capsule is used in the treatment of hyperlipidaemia associated with atherosclerotic arterial disease. It further prevents the risk of heart attack and stroke (a condition that causes reduced oxygen supply to the brain).
When not to use?
Allergy
Avoid taking Roseday-A 10 Capsule if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Bleeding disorder
Roseday-A 10 Capsule is not recommended for use if you have active bleeding or haemorrhagic disorders such as haemophilia (a condition where your blood does not clot normally), von Willebrand’s disease (a bleeding disorder caused by low levels of clot protein in your blood), or telangiectasia (a condition where small blood vessels located near the skin surface widen). This medicine prevents blood clot formation by permanently reducing platelet (cells that form clots) aggregation and thus increasing your bleeding time.
Severe kidney impairment
Roseday-A 10 Capsule is not recommended for use if you have severely impaired kidneys as a damaged kidney will not filter the medicine completely out of your body, leading to toxicity.
Peptic ulcer
Roseday-A 10 Capsule is not recommended for use if you have an active or a history of peptic ulcers (sores in the lining of your stomach and intestine due to excess acid production). This medicine may further cause stomach and intestinal bleeding and worsen your health condition.
Active liver disease
Roseday-A 10 Capsule is broken down in your liver. Hence, this medicine is not recommended if you have pre-existing liver problems as it may lead to the accumulation of this medicine in your blood and increase the risk of side effects. It may also cause further liver damage.
Warnings
Warnings for special population
Pregnancy
Roseday-A 10 Capsule is unsafe for use during pregnancy as it can harm your foetus.
Breast-feeding

Roseday-A 10 Capsule should be used with caution if you have kidney problems as it may worsen your health condition. A high dose of this medicine used for a prolonged time may increase the risk of side effects. Your doctor may suggest tests to regularly monitor your kidney function while you are taking this medicine.
Cognitive impairment
Roseday-A 10 Capsule should be used with caution if you have cognitive impairment (a condition that causes a decline in mental abilities like memory and thinking skills). This medicine may cause memory loss, forgetfulness, confusion, etc. However, these side effects are not serious and resolve after discontinuation of this medicine.
