Rizora 10 Tablet (Rizatriptan 10mg)

INTRODUCTION

RIZORA 10MG contains Rizatriptan belongs to a class of medicines called selective serotonin 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonists. It is used to treat the headache phase of the migraine attack in adults. It reduces the swelling of blood vessels surrounding in the brain. It works by the narrowing blood vessels in the brain, stopping pain signals from being sent to the brain and blocking release of certain natural substances that cause pain, nausea and other symptoms of migraine.

Always take RIZORA 10MG as directed by physician. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of therapy depending upon your age, weight and condition. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. It is not recommended for the use in children and adolescents under 18 years. Do not take this medicine, if you have reduced the blood flow to your legs and arms due to blocked arteries (peripheral vascular disease). It should be used with caution in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Tell your doctor, if you are taking or taken or might take any other medicines. The most common side effects include dizziness, sleepiness and tiredness.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Skin itching:

Avoid bath in hot water because hot water can irritate the skin. Moisturizers can be used regular basis to soothe and hydrate the affected area.

Nausea and vomiting:

Keep try taking this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack and stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy food.

Diarrhea:

Drink lot of fluid, such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration. Do not take any other medicine without consulting your doctor.

INTERACTIONS

Talk to your doctor if you are taking:

• Monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor includes moclobemide, phenelzine, tranylcypromine, linezolid, or pargyline
• Ergotamine or dihydro-ergotamine to treat your migraine
• Methergine to prevent a migraine attack
