Remylin Tablet (Mecobalamin/Alpha lipoic acid)

Description

Remylin Tablet is a vitamin/nutritional supplement. It is used to treat diabetic neuropathy, a type of nerve damage caused due to diabetes (high blood sugar levels).

Remylin Tablet may cause some less common side effects such as nausea/vomiting, headache, skin rash, bloating, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or if they become severe.

Remylin Tablet should be taken exactly as advised by your doctor. Take it at the same time every day for ease of remembrance.

Remylin Tablet should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before this supplement is prescribed.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Remylin Tablet if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of your face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.

Warnings

Warnings for special population
Pregnancy
Due to the lack of sufficient safety data in pregnant women, the risk to the developing foetus due to Remylin Tablet is not known. If you are pregnant, consult your doctor.
Breast-feeding
Remylin Tablet passes into breastmilk. If you are breastfeeding, consult your doctor.
General warnings
Other medicines
Remylin Tablet may interact with other medicines and may cause undesired side effects. Hence, inform your doctor about all your current medicines including any herbs and supplements before beginning treatment with this medicine.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Try not to skip a dose of Remylin Tablet. Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose to compensate for a missed one.
Overdose
Do not take excess dose than prescribed by your doctor. Contact your doctor if you suspect an overdose with Remylin Tablet.

Interactions

Take Remylin Tablet with or without food.

Do not take more or less than the prescribed dose. Do not stop the use of Remylin Tablet without consulting your doctor.

Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Remylin Tablet as it may reduce the effectiveness of this medicine.
