Description

Rejunex Injection 1Ml contains methylcobalamin, a man-made form of Vitamin B12 which is important for nerve health, brain function, and red blood cell production. This medicine is mainly used to treat Vitamin B12 deficiency in people with anaemia and peripheral neuropathy (nerve pain in hands and feet). Methylcobalamin regulates certain vital bodily functions like cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis.

Rejunex Injection 1Ml rarely shows side effects. However, sometimes you may experience diarrhoea, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Inform your doctor if these side effects persist. Temporary pain or redness at the injection site is also reported in some people. Do not use Rejunex Injection 1Ml if you are allergic to it.

This nerve damage mostly occurs in your feet and hands resulting in weakness, numbness, and pain. There are several causes that can lead to peripheral neuropathy such as diabetes, injuries, and infections. Rejunex Injection 1Ml is used in the treatment of peripheral neuropathy. The medicine helps in the production of myelin, which covers nerve fibres and protects them.
Megaloblastic Anaemia
Megaloblastic Anaemia is a bone marrow disorder wherein there may be an overproduction of abnormal and immature red blood cells. This condition mainly occurs due to a deficiency of either Vitamin B12 or folic acid in your body. Symptoms may include muscle weakness, diarrhoea, vision problems, etc. Rejunex Injection 1Ml is used to treat anaemia due to deficiency of Vitamin B12. The medicine helps in the production of red blood cells.

When not to use?

Leber’s Disease
Rejunex Injection 1Ml is not recommended for use in individuals who have Leber’s Disease, a rare genetic disorder characterized by painless and sudden vision loss. This medicine may cause serious damage to the optic nerve (the nerve that connects the eye to the brain) in these individuals.
Allergy
Avoid taking Rejunex Injection 1Ml if you are allergic to it. Serious allergic reactions to this medicine are rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.

Pregnancy
Rejunex Injection 1Ml should not be used in pregnancy to treat anaemia unless it is vitamin B12 deficiency anaemia. However, it should only be used upon your doctor’s recommendation and after all the risks and benefits are discussed.
Breast-feeding
