Overview

Prostagard-D8 Capsule is used for Problems with urination, Hesitancy, Incomplete emptying, Increased urgency, Symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia in men, Acute urinary retention and other conditions. Prostagard-D8 Capsule may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Prostagard-D8 Capsule contains Dutasteride and Silodosin as active ingredients.
Prostagard-D8 Capsule works by blocking the alpha-1 receptors located in the muscles of human prostate, urinary bladder and urethra and relaxes these muscles; inhibiting the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone;

Uses

Prostagard-D8 Capsule is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
Problems with urination
Hesitancy
Incomplete emptying
Increased urgency
Symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia in men
Acute urinary retention

Side-effects

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Prostagard-D8 Capsule. This is not a comprehensive list. Liver dysfunction
Sore throat
Stuffy or runny nose
Allergic skin rejection
Jaundice
Diarrhea
Dizziness especially while getting up suddenly from a lay position
Change or problem with discharge of semen
Headache
Swelling of tongue
Throat causing breathing difficulty
Impotence
Decreased libido
Breast enlargement
Breast tenderness
Ejaculation disorders
Dizziness
Prostagard-D8 Capsule may also cause side-effects not listed here.

Precautions

Before using Prostagard-D8 Capsule, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). When not to use Prostagard-D8 Capsule

Hypersensitivity to Prostagard-D8 Capsule is a contraindication. In addition, Prostagard-D8 Capsule should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Allergic reactions
History of prostate cancer
Hypersensitivity
Liver disease
Pregnancy and lactation
Surgery
Undergoing prostate specific antigen assay
