The active ingredient in the composition of Opox Drops belongs to the group of cephalosporins. They are anitbiotics with cefpodoxime used for treating bacterial infections.

Infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis, gonorrhoea and infections of the skin
Infections of the eyes, sinuses, throat and urinary tract

Allergy to cefpodoximes
Abnormal liver function tests
A condition named clostridium difficile colitis

How Does It Work?
Antibiotics block the protein synthesis of bacteria and stop their growth. Cefpodoxime kills the bacteria, thereby, helping to treat bacterial infections.

Directions for Use of Opox 25 MG

This medicine should be taken orally as indicated on the label and as per the instructions of the doctor. It should be taken with food. Take the dosage of Opox Drops at the same time every day.

Interactions with other medicines
Inform the doctor if you are taking any antacids like cimetidine, ranitidine as they reduce the absorption of the medicine.

Keep the medicine in a cool and dry place. It should be away from heat and direct sunlight. Be careful with children and pets; keep the medicine away from them.

Dosage of Opox 25 MG

Overdose
Opox Drops overdose would have symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhoea, headache, nausea, vomiting, and fits and seizures. The patient should be taken immediately to a hospital.
Missed a Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Do not overdose by compensating for a missed dose.
