Description

Omidom Capsule is a combination medicine used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in patients who are not responding adequately to omeprazole alone. It may also be used to treat gastric acid-related disorders.

Uses of Omidom Capsule

What is it prescribed for?
Gastroesophagal Reflux Disease
This medicine is used in the treatment of reflux disease, where acid from the stomach enters and irritates the food pipe (esophagus).
Gastric Acid Related Disorders
This medicine is used to prevent or treat disorders such as duodenal ulcers, gastric ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, chronic gastritis, etc. associated with an excess amount of acid secretion.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to domperidone, omeprazole or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.
Tumor of Pituitary gland
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with tumor of the pituitary gland due to the increased risk of worsening the patient’s condition.
Heart diseases
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with prolonged QT interval or heart diseases like congestive heart failure due to the increased risk of worsening the patient’s condition.
Moderate to Severe Hepatic Impairment
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with moderate to severe liver function impairment due to the increased risk of worsening the patient’s condition.

Use of this medicine may be associated with lupus (systemic and cutaneous). Clostridium difficile-associated Diarrhea

Dosage

Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
