Description

Maxiflo 125 Inhaler is a combination medicine used to relieve symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest tightness, wheezing, coughing, etc. caused by asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 12 years of age. This medicine is used only for the maintenance treatment of asthma and is not useful for treating an acute attack.

What is it prescribed for?
Asthma
This medicine is used in the maintenance treatment of asthma. It is helpful in preventing and treating symptoms such as breathing difficulties, wheezing, shortness of breath, etc.
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
This medicine is used to prevent and treat symptoms such as breathing difficulties, wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, etc. associated with a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to fluticasone, any other corticosteroids, formoterol, or any other inactive ingredients present along with these medicines.
Status asthmaticus
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from status asthmaticus (a severe, acute asthma attack) as a first-line therapy since it is not effective in treating this condition.

Pregnancy
This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before using this medicine.
Breast-feeding

Hypokalemia
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of hypokalemia (low blood potassium levels) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition. Close monitoring of potassium levels, appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.
Tuberculosis
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of tuberculosis due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition. Report any unusual symptoms to the doctor immediately. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition of the patient.
Use in pediatrics

Dosage

Missed Dose
The missed dose should be inhaled as soon as soon as possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it is already time for your next scheduled dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.
