Description

Lopez 1 MG Tablet MD is a benzodiazepine drug class of medicine, used for the short term treatment for anxiety, or sleep disturbances due to anxiety. It may also be used to induce sedation before surgery or in dental procedures. This medicine may increase the risk of habit-forming tendency if taken for a longer duration or at larger doses. Do not stop abruptly taking this medicine as it may cause withdrawal symptoms like convulsions, behavioral disorders, tremors, etc.

What is it prescribed for?
Anxiety
This medicine is used in the treatment of anxiety disorders. Uneasiness, difficulty in sleeping, sweating of hands and feet are some of the symptoms of anxiety disorder.
Insomnia (Sleeplessness)
This medicine is used to treat sleeping problems associated with anxiety, characterized by irritability, trouble falling asleep, etc.
Preanesthesia
This medicine may use as a sedative before surgery or dental procedures.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to lorazepam, other benzodiazepines, or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.
Narrow-angle glaucoma
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of narrow-angle glaucoma due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Severe liver disease
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver disease due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Myasthenia gravis
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with myasthenia gravis due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects.

Pregnancy

Breast-feeding

Dosage

Missed Dose
