Headset Tablet is a combination of Sumatriptan and Naproxen. It is used for the treatment of an acute migraine attack. It works by constricting the dilated blood vessels in the brain, decreasing the release of chemical substances which stimulate pain, and blocking the pain signals in the brain. This medicine can only help alleviate the symptoms of a migraine but is not capable of preventing or reducing the frequency of migraine attacks
Headset Tablet may cause some side effects like nausea, heartburn, headache, chest discomfort, dry mouth, weakness, muscle stiffness, numbness in your fingers or toes, irregular heartbeats, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines as Headset Tablet may cause drowsiness or dizziness.
Headset Tablet may be taken with food to avoid the risk of stomach discomfort. Take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a constant level of this medicine in your body. Do not discontinue taking this medicine without consulting your doctor as it may cause a relapse of your symptoms.
Headset Tablet may not be suitable for all. It is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor of your complete medical history, especially if you have heart, liver, or kidney problems. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Uses of Headset Tablet
What is it prescribed for?
An acute migraine is a headache that causes severe throbbing pain, usually on one side of the head. It often leads to nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light. Headset Tablet is used to relieve symptoms associated with an acute migraine attack.
When not to use?
Headset Tablet is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)-induced asthma refers to the narrowing of the airways causing breathing difficulty due to the use of a class of medicines known as NSAIDs. Headset Tablet is not recommended for you if you have a history of asthma caused by Aspirin or other NSAIDS due to the increased risk of worsening your condition.
Headset Tablet is not recommended for use if you have stomach and intestinal problems such as peptic ulcers (sores in the lining of the stomach and intestine) or bleeding. This medicine may further increase the risk of stomach and intestinal bleeding and worsen your condition.
Hemiplegic or basilar migraine
Hemiplegic or basilar migraine is a severe headache that starts at the spine or the lower part of the brain called the brainstem. Headset Tablet is not recommended for use if you have hemiplegic or basilar migraines.
Uncontrolled hypertension refers to high blood pressure that is inadequately treated. Headset Tablet is not recommended for use if you have uncontrolled hypertension. This medicine may further increase the risk of high blood pressure and worsen your condition.
Cerebrovascular disease refers to a group of conditions that affect the blood vessels and blood supply to the brain. Headset Tablet is not recommended for use if you have cerebrovascular diseases as it may further worsen your condition.
Headset Tablet is not recommended for use if you have medical conditions related to the heart and blood vessels. This medicine may increase the risk of serious side effects and further worsen your condition.
Headset Tablet is not recommended for use if you have liver problems due to the increased risk of elevated liver enzyme levels and liver toxicity.
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs)
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) are a class of medicines used in the treatment of depression. Combined use of Headset Tablet and MAOIs is not recommended as it may increase the risk of serious side effects. This medicine should not be used for at least 2 weeks after the discontinuation of MAOIs.
Warnings for special population
IHeadset Tablet may be unsafe for use during pregnancy as it may harm your developing foetus. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant.
Headset Tablet is not recommended for use while breastfeeding as it may pass into the breastmilk. Consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
Headset Tablet may cause serious skin allergies in some cases. If you experience symptoms such as rashes, blisters, hives (itchy, painful eruptions that sting), fever, etc., report to your doctor immediately.
Headset Tablet should be used with caution in the elderly due to an increase in the risk of undesired effects.
High cholesterol levels
Headset Tablet should be used with caution if you have high cholesterol levels due to the increased risk of heart problems. Consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
A seizure refers to sudden, uncontrolled brain activity causing fits. Headset Tablet should be used with caution if you have a history of seizures as it may further worsen your condition.
Driving or operating machines
Headset Tablet may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Hence, avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel dizzy or drowsy after taking this medicine.
Headset Tablet is taken on an as-needed basis. Hence, the chances of missing a dose are low.
Seek emergency medical treatment in case of an overdose with Headset Tablet.
Take Headset Tablet as instructed by your doctor. Do not take more or less than the prescribed dose. Drink an adequate amount of water to minimize the risk of stomach discomfort.
Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.
