Glycomet 850mg Tab 20’S should be taken carefully in old people because of the high chances of systemic problems related to kidneys, heart, etc. which increase the risk of lactic acidosis. Do not use Glycomet 850mg Tab 20’S before X-ray tests or tests that involve injecting iodine-contained dyes in the body. Glycomet 850mg Tab 20’S should be stopped during fasting especially pre- and post-surgery. Avoid taking Glycomet 850mg Tab 20’S after heart attack, heart failure, etc. Do not fast or eat less while taking Glycomet 850mg Tab 20’S.

By increasing the sensitivity of insulin, Glycomet 850mg Tab 20’S helps in decreasing the raised blood sugar levels. Additionally, it also decreases the synthesis of sugar in liver and aids in the increase of uptake of sugar in the body cells from the blood.

Directions for Use of Glycomet 850 MG

Glycomet 850mg Tab 20’S dosage should be taken in small doses, gradually increasing the dosage as per gastric tolerance. It is administered with meals in divided doses of once or two times in a day. The dose can be increased up to 2550mg and 2000mg in adults and children above 10 years, respectively. Glycomet 850mg Tab 20’S is prescribed temporarily to decrease the raised sugar in blood in individuals with well controlled blood sugar level. Dosage can be increased on the basis of periodic blood sugar tests that help in analysing effect of the medication.

Dosage of Glycomet 850 MG

Overdose
Overdose can result in Lactic Acidosis (Drowsiness, vomiting, diarrhoea, nausea, fast breathing, etc.)
Missed a Dose
The dose should be taken as soon as one remembers, unless it’s almost time for the next dose. Do not take double dose of Glycomet 850mg Tab 20’S.
