Description

Ganaton OD Capsule is used to increase the mobility of food in the stomach and intestine. It is used for the treatment of gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, loss of appetite, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, etc. associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease, functional dyspepsia, and other associated motility disorders.

Uses of Ganaton OD Capsule

What is it prescribed for?
Non-ulcer dyspepsia
This medicine is used for the treatment of non-ulcer or functional dyspepsia. Symptoms may include fullness, discomfort and sometimes pain of the stomach.
Gastroparesis
This medicine is used for the treatment of a condition where the movement of food from the stomach is very slow resulting in delayed emptying.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of allergy to itopride or any other inactive ingredients present along with the formulation.
Gastrointestinal hemorrhage
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having internal bleeding of the stomach and intestine. This may be attributed to various reasons including a ruptured bowel (Gastrointestinal Perforation).
Mechanical bowel obstruction
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having a blockage in the intestine.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. The missed dose can be skipped if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

General Instructions
Take this medicine exactly as advised by the doctor. It can be taken 15 minutes before a meal. Do not take in larger amounts than prescribed. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable side effects.
