Description

Esiflo 500 Transcaps is a combination of Fluticasone Propionate and Salmeterol. It is used in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (a group of lung conditions that cause blockage of airflow leading to breathing-related problems) and asthma (narrowing of the airways with excessive mucous production). It helps relieve symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, breathing difficulty, coughing, etc. It works by relaxing and widening the muscles in your airways.

Esiflo 500 Transcaps may cause some side effects like sore throat, cough, headache, and hoarseness of voice. Inform your doctor if these side effects persist or become severe.

Esiflo 500 Transcaps should be used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. For the ease of remembering, use it around the same time every day. Even if you see an improvement in your condition, do not stop using it. If you discontinue the use of this medicine early, your symptoms may reoccur. It should not be used to relieve sudden asthma attacks.

When not to use?

Allergy

Status asthmaticus
Status asthmaticus is a severe form of asthma that is sudden and does not respond to standard treatments. These attacks can last for several minutes or even hours. Esiflo 500 Transcaps is not recommended for use if you have status asthmaticus as it is not effective in treating this condition.

Dosage

Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of Esiflo 500 Transcaps, administer the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment in case of an overdose of Esiflo 500 Transcaps.
