Endobloc 5 Tablet (Ambrisentan 5mg)

INTRODUCTION

ENDOBLOC 5MG contains Ambrisentan which belongs to a group of medicines called other antihypertensives. It is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). PAH is high blood pressure in the blood vessels (the pulmonary arteries) that carry blood from the heart to the lungs. It widens the pulmonary arteries, making it easier for the heart to pump blood through them. This lowers the blood pressure and relieves the symptoms. It may also be used in combination with other medicines used to treat PAH.

Take ENDOBLOC 5MG according to the dose and frequency as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break the medicine. Do not drive or operate machinery while taking this medicine, since it may cause low blood pressure, dizziness, tiredness. This medicine is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The common side effects of this medicine are rash, itching and swelling, low blood pressure, stuffy nose, inflamed nasal passages, headache, fast heartbeat, nausea, diarrhea and constipation.

HOW ENDOBLOC 5MG WORKS

ENDOBLOC 5MG works by stopping the action of endothelin, a natural substance that causes blood vessels to narrow and prevents normal blood flow in people who have PAH.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Take this medicine according to the dose and frequency as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break the medicine. It may be taken with or without food.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Diarrhoea:

Drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. ORS should be used to prevent dehydration.

Nausea:

Stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy foods.

Constipation:

Add fruits, vegetables whole grains and other high-fiber foods to your diet.
