Description

Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream is a topical medicine used to relieve swelling, redness, and itching of the skin caused due to various skin conditions such as dermatitis (swelling in the skin), psoriasis (a skin disease that causes red, itchy scaly patches), etc. This medicine works by preventing the release of substances that causes skin swelling, redness, and itching on your skin.

Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Creamshows side effects like burning sensation, irritation, itching, or dryness at the application site. However, these side effects may occur at the initial phase and subside by themselves as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they continue to bother you.

Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream is for external use only. Use it regularly as directed by your doctor. Wash and dry the affected area before application. Spread a thin layer of the cream over the affected area. Do not cover the affected area with bandages unless directed by your doctor. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. In case it comes in contact with these areas, rinse with plenty of water. Avoid the use of Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream for other skin conditions not prescribed by your doctor, or around the genital and rectal areas as it may worsen your condition.

Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine. Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream is not recommended for use in children below one year of age. Children below 12 years of age should not use this medicine for more than five days.

Some inflammatory skin conditions include dermatitis (swelling and irritation of the skin), psoriasis (a skin disease that causes red, itchy scaly patches on the knees, elbows, chest, scalp, and other parts of the body), etc. Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream is used to treat such inflammatory skin conditions by decreasing the release of certain chemicals that causes swelling, redness, and itching of the skin.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid applying Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have a history of allergy to this medication. If you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching, dizziness, etc., inform your doctor and seek immediate medical attention.
Acne
Acne is a skin condition in which bacteria grow in the clogged pores on your skin causing blackheads, whiteheads, or pimples. Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream is not effective against the bacteria that causes acne. Hence, it is not recommended for use in acne.
Active untreated infection
Active untreated infection occurs when a skin infection that has been left untreated for a long time develops secondary bacterial infections. The symptoms are redness, swelling, and pain at the site of infection. Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream is not recommended in this condition as it may worsen your skin condition. Consult your doctor for accurate treatment.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Apply the missed dose of Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not apply a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
An overdose of Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream may cause mild side effects. However, the ingestion of this medicine may cause harm and immediate medical intervention may be required.

General Instructions

Apply a thin layer of Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream to the affected areas of your skin as instructed by your doctor. Follow all the usage instructions mentioned on the label or the package insert.

Do not apply Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream in larger or smaller quantities than recommended.

Avoid the use of Diprovate Rd 0.0125% Cream on your face unless advised by your doctor. The treatment courses should be limited to five days.

Remember to wash your hands after applying the cream to the affected area.

Contact your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or resolve in 2-4 weeks of use.
