What is it prescribed for?
Steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions
This medicine is used for the treatment of eye swelling, pain, redness, etc. which are responsive to steroids and where bacterial infections or risks of bacterial eye infection exist.
When not to use?
Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to difluprednate, moxifloxacin, other fluoroquinolones, or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.
Active viral diseases
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with active viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva including epithelial herpes simplex keratitis (dendritic keratitis), vaccinia, and varicella due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Mycobacterial or fungal infection
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a mycobacterial or fungal infection of the eyes and surrounding structures due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Dosage
Missed Dose
Administer the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
General Instructions
