Description

Dablexa 150 Capsule is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) that is used in the prevention and treatment of blood clots. It works by blocking a substance (thrombin) in your body that is involved in blood clot formation.

Dablexa 150 Capsule may cause side effects such as bleeding, indigestion, stomach pain, diarrhoea, nausea, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen.

Dablexa 150 Capsule should be taken exactly as directed by your doctor. Take it at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of this medicine in your body. Continue taking this medicine for the prescribed duration to effectively treat your condition.

Dablexa 150 Capsule should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have pre-existing kidney or liver problems before beginning treatment with this medicine. What is it prescribed for?
Prevention and treatment of blood clots
Dablexa 150 Capsule is used in the prevention of stroke (damage to your brain resulting from reduced/blocked blood supply) and systemic embolism (blood clots that break free from the wall of your vein and travels through the bloodstream) in non-valvular atrial fibrillation (a condition with an irregular heart rhythm).
Dablexa 150 Capsule is also used in the treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (a blood clot in a deep vein, usually in your lower leg, thigh, or pelvis) and pulmonary embolism (a condition in which one or more arteries in your lungs become blocked by blood clots). This medicine works by blocking a substance (thrombin) in your body that is involved in the formation of blood clots.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Dablexa 150 Capsule if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Severe kidney impairment
Dablexa 150 Capsule is eliminated by the kidneys. Hence it is not recommended for use if you have severe kidney impairment (loss of kidney function) due to the increased risk of side effects resulting from the accumulation of this medicine in your body.
Active bleeding
Dablexa 150 Capsule is not recommended for use if you have active bleeding problems or any other conditions that may increase your risk of bleeding such as stomach ulcers (painful sores on the inner lining of your stomach), injury/bleeding in your brain, recent surgery of your brain/eyes, etc. This medicine may further increase the risk of bleeding and worsen your condition.
Severe liver disease
Dablexa 150 Capsule is not recommended for use if you have severe liver problems due to the increased risk of a further worsening of your condition.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Try not to skip a dose of Dablexa 150 Capsule. Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose to compensate for a missed one.
Overdose
Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Contact your doctor if you suspect an overdose with Dablexa 150 Capsule.

General Instructions

Take Dablexa 150 Capsule with or without food. Do not take more or less than the prescribed dose. Avoid the discontinuation of this medicine without consulting your doctor as it may worsen your condition.

Dablexa 150 Capsule may increase your risk of bleeding. Inform your doctor if you experience any signs and symptoms of bleeding such as dizziness, lightheadedness, red/black tarry stools, coughing up or vomiting blood, severe headache, and weakness.

Dablexa 150 Capsule may decrease your haemoglobin levels, and platelet and red blood cell count. Your doctor may suggest tests to regularly monitor your haemoglobin level and blood cell count during treatment with this medicine.
