What is it prescribed for?
Mild to moderate essential hypertension
This medicine is used to reduce high blood pressure caused by genetic and/or environmental factors.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to chlorthalidone, other sulfonamides, metoprolol, other beta-blockers, or any other inactive ingredients present along with these medicines.
Anuria
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with anuria, a condition where the kidney is unable to produce urine.
Severe renal impairment
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe renal impairment (CrCl < 30 ml/min) due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects.
Severe liver impairment
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver impairment due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects.
Heart diseases
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with serious heart problems such as a heart block, heart failure, sick sinus syndrome, etc. due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Circulatory disorders
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from blood circulation disorders since it may worsen the patient’s condition.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

General Instructions
