Description

Consivas Asp (10/75 mg) Capsule is a combination of Rosuvastatin and Aspirin. It lowers the bad cholesterol and triglyceride (type of fats) levels in your body. It also prevents the risk of heart attack and stroke (a condition that causes reduced oxygen supply to the brain). This medicine works by dissolving the blood clot and reducing the production of unwanted fats in your body.

Consivas Asp (10/75 mg) Capsule has some side effects like nausea, muscle pain, weakness, headache, stomach pain and discomfort, etc. These side effects are mild and may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if they bother you for a long time or become severe. This medicine may also increase the risk of bleeding.

It may increase the risk of heart problems like atherosclerotic arterial disease (a condition that occurs due to the buildup of fats, cholesterol, and other substances in the walls of your blood vessels). Hence, Consivas Asp (10/75 mg) Capsule is used in the treatment of hyperlipidaemia associated with atherosclerotic arterial disease. It further prevents the risk of heart attack and stroke (a condition that causes reduced oxygen supply to the brain).

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Consivas Asp (10/75 mg) Capsule if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Bleeding disorder
Consivas Asp (10/75 mg) Capsule is not recommended for use if you have active bleeding or haemorrhagic disorders such as haemophilia (a condition where your blood does not clot normally), von Willebrand’s disease (a bleeding disorder caused by low levels of clot protein in your blood), or telangiectasia (a condition where small blood vessels located near the skin surface widen). This medicine prevents blood clot formation by permanently reducing platelet (cells that form clots) aggregation and thus increasing your bleeding time.
Severe kidney impairment
Consivas Asp (10/75 mg) Capsule is not recommended for use if you have severely impaired kidneys as a damaged kidney will not filter the medicine completely out of your body, leading to toxicity.
Peptic ulcer
Consivas Asp (10/75 mg) Capsule is not recommended for use if you have an active or a history of peptic ulcers (sores in the lining of your stomach and intestine due to excess acid production). This medicine may further cause stomach and intestinal bleeding and worsen your health condition.
Active liver disease

Dosage

Missed Dose
Try not to skip the dose of Consivas Asp (10/75 mg) Capsule. In case you missed a dose, take it immediately. However, if the delay is more than 12 hours, skip the dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose. Seek emergency medical treatment in case of an overdose with Consivas Asp (10/75 mg) Capsule.
