What is Clopitab-A 150 Capsule ?

CLOPITAB A 150MG contains combination of Aspirin and Clopidogrel which belongs to a group of medicines called Antiplatelets
Platelets are very small structures in the blood which clump together during blood clotting. By preventing this clumping, antiplatelets reduce the chances of blood clots forming (a process called thrombosis)

What CLOPITAB A 150MG is used for?
It is used to prevent formation of blood clots , which can lead to atherothrombotic events (such as stroke, heart attack, or death)

Warning & Precautions

Talk to your doctor before taking CLOPITAB A 150MG, If you

Are allergic to Aspirin, Clopidogrel or to any of the ingredients in CLOPITAB A 150MG
Are allergic to other salicylates or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
Have had an asthma attack or swelling of some parts of the body
Have or ever had an ulcer in your stomach or small intestine
Ever had the problem of your blood not clotting properly
Are suffering from gout
Have severe liver or kidney problems
Have a recent serious injury or surgery (including dental)
Have a planned surgery (including dental) in the next seven days
Have had a clot in an artery of your brain (ischaemic stroke) which occurred within the last seven days

Treating inflammation, including rheumatic diseases and inflammation of the intestines (corticosteroids).
Iron salts (for treatment of iron deficiency anaemia), carbonates (treatment of peptic ulcer and reflux), Alkali hydroxides (antacids)
Heparin or any other injectable medicine used to reduce blood clotting, ticlopidine, other antiplatelet agent.
A selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (including but not restricted to fluoxetine or fluvoxamine), medicines usually used to treat depression.
Omeprazole or esomeprazole, medicines to treat upset stomach
Fluconazole or voriconazole, medicines to treat fungal infections
Efavirenz, a medicine to treat HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infections
Carbamazepine, a medicine to treat some forms of epilepsy
Moclobemide, medicine to treat depression
Repaglinide, medicine to treat diabetes
Paclitaxel, medicine to treat cancer

Side Effects

Like all medicines, this medicine also can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them

Sudden wheezing, swelling of your lips, face or body, rash, fainting or difficulty in swallowing
Reddening of the skin with blisters or peeling and may be associated with a high fever and joint pains
Unusual bleeding, such as coughing up blood, blood in your vomit or urine, or black stools
Fever, signs of infection or extreme tiredness
Signs of liver problems such as yellowing of the skin and/or the eyes (jaundice)
