CILAMET XL 20/50MG which contains combination of medicines called Cilnidipine and Metoprolol Tartrate
Cilnidipine is a novel calcium-channel blocker
Metoprolol Tartrate belongs to a group of medicines called beta-blockers

What CILAMET XL 20/50MG is used for?

It is used to treat,

High blood pressure
Angina pectoris (pain in the chest caused by blockages in the arteries to the heart)
Irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia)

Warning & Precautions

Talk to your doctor, before taking this medicine, if you:

Are allergic to metoprolol, clinidipine, other beta-blockers or any other ingredients of this medicine
Have severe aortic stenosis
Have cardiogenic shock
Have recent history of unstable angina or MI (Myocardial Infarction)
Have heart failure and hypotension
Suffer with rhythm problems or heart failure or shock caused by heart problems
Suffer with blocked blood vessels, angina including blood circulation problems (which may cause your fingers blue)
Suffer with untreated phaeochromocytoma (high blood pressure due to a tumour near the kidney)
Suffer from increased acidity of the blood (metabolic acidosis)
Have or have had breathing difficulties or asthma including COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
Suffer with hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
Have kidney or liver disease
Have difficulties in passing urine
Have low levels of potassium (hypokalaemia) or sodium (hyponatraemia) in your blood
Have high levels of calcium (hypercalcaemia)
Suffer with gout due to high levels of uric acid (hyperuricaemia)

Digoxin (to treat heart conditions) hydroxychloroquine (to treat rheumatoid arthritis)
