CELIN 500MG TABLET improves vitamin C levels in your body. This medicine is used in the prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency. It is also used in the treatment of a severe form of vitamin C deficiency called scurvy (a condition that causes symptoms of bruising, bleeding gums, weakness, fatigue, and skin rash).

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid CELIN 500MG TABLET if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of your face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Hyperoxaluria
Hyperoxaluria is a condition that occurs when there are high levels of oxalate in your urine. CELIN 500MG TABLET is not recommended if you have hyperoxaluria due to the increased risk of severe side effects.

Pregnancy
Due to a lack of safety and efficacy studies in pregnant women, the risk to your developing foetus due to CELIN 500MG TABLET is not known. However, this medicine may be safe to use during pregnancy upon your doctor’s recommendation.
Breast-feeding
CELIN 500MG TABLET passes into breastmilk. However, it is not reported to cause side effects in your breastfed infant and may be safe to use during breastfeeding upon your doctor’s recommendation.
General warnings
Kidney stones
CELIN 500MG TABLET can acidify the urine, resulting in the formation of urate, cystine, or oxalate stones in your kidneys. This medicine should be used with caution if you have a history of kidney stones. Clinical monitoring of urine for pH and crystal formation is recommended.
G6PD deficiency
G6PD Deficiency is a genetic condition characterized by the deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) enzyme. This causes your red blood cells to break down in response to certain medications, infections, or other stresses. CELIN 500MG TABLET should be used with caution if you have this condition due to the increased risk of haemolysis (breakdown of your red blood cells).
Smoking
Smoking cigarettes or the use of tobacco products in other forms may reduce the effectiveness of CELIN 500MG TABLET and should be avoided.
Other medicines
CELIN 500MG TABLET may interact with other medicines and may cause undesired side effects. Inform your doctor about your current medicines including any herbs or supplements before taking this medicine.

Dosage
