Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s belongs to the group of blood pressure-lowering medications called ‘Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme (ACE) Inhibitors’ primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and reduce the risk of having a heart attack, stroke or heart failure. High blood pressure is a chronic condition in which the pressure in the blood vessels is high. The blood exerts a high pressure on the walls of blood vessels (arteries), leading to hypertension. Heart failure can occur when your heart is unable to pump blood sufficiently required to the remaining of the body. Heart attack or stroke is the blockage of blood flow to the heart muscle. The blockade usually occurs due to build-up of fat/cholesterol in the coronary artery (supplies blood to the heart).

Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s works by lowering the body’s production of substances that could increase the blood pressure. Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s relaxes and widens the blood vessels making it easier for the heart to pump blood to all parts of the body thereby lowering the raised blood pressure and the reduce the risk of having a heart attack, stroke or heart failure.

Take Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s with or without food. Do not chew, crush, or break the tablet, swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Take Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s at the same time every day. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects like headache, dizziness, fatigue, and cough. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. Talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

To treat you condition effectually continue taking Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Try not to stop taking it on your own as it may cause sudden increase the blood pressure, chest pain or heart attack. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, electrolyte levels and kidney functioning is advised while taking Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s. It would help if you consumed low salt (table salt) and low-fat diet while taking Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s. Avoid taking Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Talk to your doctor, he/she may prescribe you with alternate medicine. Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s is not recommended for children below 18 years of age as the efficacy and safety have not been established.

Continued usage of Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s helps in decreasing the severity of heart failure, rate of hospitalization and symptoms such as weakness and shortness of breath. Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s is used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat high blood pressure.

Like all medicines, Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s may cause side-effects, although not everybody experiences them. Headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, low blood pressure, inflammation of the sinus (sinusitis), shortness of breath, stomach pain, diarrhea, indigestion, skin rash, chest pain, muscle pain and increased levels of potassium in blood are the common side-effects of Cardace 5 Tablet 15’s.
