Azibact LR 100 Readymix (Azithromycin 100mg)

Description

Azibact LR 100 mg Readymix Suspension is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the nose, throat, tonsils, ear, lungs and skin, etc. It works by blocking the formation of proteins required for bacterial growth. Thus, it prevents further bacterial growth and multiplication. This medicine is only effective for bacterial infections.

Azibact LR 100 mg Readymix Suspension may cause some common side effects such as stomach pain, diarrhoea, nausea, headache, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or if they become severe. Avoid activities like driving vehicles and operating machines as this medicine may make you feel dizzy.

Azibact LR 100 mg Readymix Suspension can be taken with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor. Your dose will depend on the severity of your condition. Try taking this syrup at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of medicine in your body. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting with your doctor, as it may lead to antibiotic resistance (a condition where infection-causing organisms develop the ability to defeat the effect of drugs designed to kill them).

Community-Acquired Pneumonia
Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) refers to pneumonia (lung infection) that is acquired in a community setting. CAP can be bacterial or viral. Azibact LR 100 mg Readymix Suspension is used to treat CAP caused by bacteria by reducing the swelling in the lungs and alveoli (tiny air sacs inside the lungs).
Acute bacterial otitis media
Acute Otitis media (AOM), is an infection of the middle ear (the area behind the eardrum), common in infants and young children. Azibact LR 100 mg Readymix Suspension is used to treat acute otitis media caused by bacteria.
Skin and soft tissue infections
Skin and soft tissue infections occur when the bacteria invade the skin and its supporting structures. Azibact LR 100 mg Readymix Suspension is used to treat all skin infections including abscesses (pain due to accumulation of pus) caused by bacteria.
Acute bacterial Sinusitis
Sinusitis is the swelling sinuses (hollow spaces inside your skull). It is often caused by bacteria and sometimes, viruses and fungi. Pharyngitis/Tonsilitis
Pharyngitis and tonsillitis are infections that cause swelling and soreness in the throat and tonsils. If this infection affects both the throat and the tonsils, then it would be called pharyngotonsillitis. Azibact LR 100 mg Readymix Suspension is used to treat pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and/or pharyngotonsillitis.
