Description

TenoHep-AF Tablet is an antiviral medicine. It is used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, a serious liver infection. It prevents the multiplication of the hepatitis B virus and enhances the clearing of infection.

TenoHep-AF Tablet shows side effects like headache, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, muscle pain, etc. It may also cause dizziness. Hence, avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel dizzy after taking this medicine. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it.

TenoHep-AF Tablet may be taken with food. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of treatment based on the severity of your condition. Try not to miss a dose and ensure to complete the course of treatment for better results. Take this medicine at the same time every day for the ease of remembering.

When not to use?

Allergy

Dosage

Missed Dose
If you forget to take the dose of TenoHep-AF Tablet at a given time, then take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose. Seek immediate medical attention if you suspect an overdose of TenoHep-AF Tablet.

Interactions

General Instructions
Take TenoHep-AF Tablet with food as this increases the absorption of the medicine in your body.

This medicine may cause dizziness. Avoid driving vehicles or performing activities that require mental alertness until you know how it affects you.

You can spread the infection to other people even if you are taking this medicine. Hence, avoid sexual intercourse without protection. Also, avoid sharing needles or personal items that can have blood or body fluids on them.

Avoid consumption of alcohol as it may increase the risk of liver damage.

During treatment and for at least six months after stopping this medicine, your doctor may recommend regular blood tests to monitor your liver function.
