Hepexa 300 Tablet
Hepexa 300 MG Tablet is a bile acid used to dissolve gallstones that are rich in cholesterol and prevent gallstones in overweight people who are planning on losing weight rapidly.
Hepexa 300 MG Tablet is also used in the treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis. It is a condition that impairs the liver’s ability to function properly and causes a build-up of a fluid called bile within the liver. It may gradually worsen over time. This medicine works by decreasing the toxic levels of bile acid that may accumulate in such a condition.

Hepexa 300 MG Tablet is used to dissolve gallstones which are formed by cholesterol deposits. It is also used to prevent gallstone formation in some people.
Primary biliary cirrhosis
Primary biliary cirrhosis is a liver condition that causes a buildup of bile (a fluid formed by the liver that helps in digestion) within the liver, resulting in damage to the small bile ducts that drain bile from the liver. It may gradually worsen over time. Hepexa 300 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis.

When not to use?
Allergy
Avoid taking Hepexa 300 MG Tablet if you are allergic to it. Seek medical attention if you experience symptoms such as skin rash, hives (painful eruptions that itch and sting), itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), breathing difficulty, etc.
Biliary tract disorder
Hepexa 300 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you have conditions such as biliary obstructions (when your bile duct becomes blocked), swelling of the bile duct and gallbladder, or gallstone pancreatitis (when a gallstone blocks your pancreatic duct and cause swelling of your pancreas) with compelling reasons for cholecystectomy (a surgical procedure to remove your gallbladder, an organ located below your liver that stores the digestive fluid).
Gallbladder disorder
Hepexa 300 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you have a non-functional gallbladder or conditions like swelling or impaired contractility of the gallbladder.
Presence of calcified gallstone
Hepexa 300 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you have gallstones formed due to the deposition of calcium. This medicine may not be effective in such a condition.
Chronic liver disease
Hepexa 300 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you have severe liver problems, as it may worsen the liver condition.
