Zocon 200 tablet is an antifungal medicine used for the treatment of various fungal infections. It contains Fluconazole as its main ingredient. It helps to treat infections by preventing the growth of fungi by disrupting its cellular enzymes essential for cell membrane formation in the fungi. Take Zocon 200 tablet in dosage as recommended by your doctor. Do not abruptly stop this medicine as it may increase the risk of reinfection and thus even treatment failure. You can take this medicine with or without food, but take it at the same time every day for optimal results. Please inform your doctor about your health condition before taking this medicine.

If you are allergic to fluconazole or any other ingredients of Zocon 200 tablet.
If you are taking medicines like Astemizole, Terfenadine, Cisapride, Pimozide, Quinidine, Erythromycin.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if
You have liver disease or kidney disease.

You have adrenal insufficiency (a condition where the adrenal gland does not produce sufficient steroid hormone).
You develop any allergic reactions after taking Zocon 200 tablet.

How Does It Work?
Zocon 200 tablet works by blocking the formation of the cell membrane of the fungus by inhibiting an enzyme.
Thus the fungi stop multiplying or die because of the non-formation of the complete cell membrane.

Directions for Use of Zocon 200 MG

Zocon 200 tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
Swallow it whole with a glass of water, with or without food.
Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results.
Do not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines

Especially if you are taking medicines like other antibiotics, anticoagulants like warfarin, anti-cancer medicines, anti-hypertensives like nifedipine, losartan, painkillers, immunosuppressives like ciclosporin, Medicines for heart-related disorders like amiodarone, quinidine, etc.
Other medicines that should be used with caution are contraceptive pills, anti-depressants like lithium, anti-epileptic medicines, anti-diabetic medicines, etc.

Dosage of Zocon 200 MG

Overdose
Symptoms of an overdose may include feeling or seeing things that are not real (hallucination and paranoid behaviour). Contact your doctor immediately in case of an overdose with Zocon 200 tablet or rush to the nearest hospital.
Missed a Dose
If you have missed any dose of Zocon 200 tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
