What is VOGLI TRIO?

VOGLI TRIO is a combination of three medicines Gliclazide, Metformin and Voglibose which belong to antidiabetics
It works by lowering the amount of sugar made by your body by improving the levels and effects of insulin after a meal

What VOGLI TRIO is used for?

It is used in the management Type-II diabetes mellitus

Warning & Precautions

Talk to your doctor before taking VOGLI TRIO, if you:

Are allergic to Gliclazide, Metformin and Voglibose or to any of its ingredients
Have kidney or liver or heart problems
Suffer from Diabetic ketoacidosis
Drink a lot of alcohol
Have Inflammatory bowel disease, colonic ulcerations or partial intestinal obstructions
Have Gastro-Intestinal disorders

Interactions

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

Other antidiabetic drug or insulin
Salicylic acid preparations
Fibrate derivatives
Antibiotics (e.g. sulphonamides or clarithromycin)
Captopril or enalapril, used to treat high blood pressure or heart failure
Miconazole, fluconazole, used to treat fungal infections
H2 receptor antagonists, used to treat ulcers in the stomach or duodenum
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors, used to treat depression
Medicines reducing inflammation (corticosteroids)
Intravenous salbutamol and terbutaline, used to treat asthma
Danazol, used to treat breast disorders, heavy menstrual bleeding and endometriosis
Warfarin which reduce blood clotting

Swallow this medicine whole with small amount of water
Never crush or chew this medicine
The dose is determined by the doctor, depending on your blood and urine sugar levels and associated disease conditions
If you take more VOGLI TRIO

If you take too much VOGLI TRIO call your doctor or go to the nearest hospital right away
If you forget to take VOGLI TRIO

If you miss a dose of VOGLI TRIO resume dosing according to schedule. Do not take double dose for forgotten dose
If you stop taking VOGLI TRIO

Do not stop taking this tablet before consulting your doctor

Side Effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Gliclazide:

Abnormal liver function, which can cause yellow skin and eyes
Skin reactions such as rash, redness, itching, hives
Angioedema (rapid swelling of tissues such as eyelids, face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat that may result in breathing difficulty)
Metformin:

Lactic acidosis where there is a buildup of an acid in the blood that can cause death

Storage

Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
Protect from moisture
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
