Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s belongs to a group of anti-bacterial or antibiotics. Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s is used to prevent and treat different types of bacterial infections like urinary tract infections (UTIs), including Bladder Infection (cystitis). Besides this, it is also used in to treat kidney infections. A urine infection is often called a urinary tract infection (or simply, UTI). Most urine infections are caused by germs (bacteria). They are usually easily treated with a short course of an antibacterial medicine such as Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s. Occasionally, longer-term treatment is needed to prevent infections from coming back.

When you take Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s, your body quickly filters it out of your blood and into your urine. This is useful if you have a urinary tract infection because it means the medicine is concentrated at the site of infection. Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s is available on prescription. It comes as capsules, tablets and a liquid that you drink.

Nitrofurantoin kills the bacteria by entering their cells and damaging their genetic material. It is a broad range of antibiotic that helps in fighting various types of bacteria. Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s is strictly for bacterial infections only, and it does not treat infections caused by viruses.

Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s is best taken with food or milk. This may lessen stomach upset and help your body to absorb the medicine. You should take Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s only if your doctor has prescribed you. Most of the bacterial infections get treated within one week, while some conditions might take a longer time. If you stop taking it too early, the infection may return or worsen. So, it would be best if you tried to complete the prescribed dosage. During the treatment with Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s, you may observe some of the common side effects like feeling sick (nausea), vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite and headaches. But these side effects are usually in the initial phase and then resolve after some time. However, if these side effects persist, let your doctor know about this if you notice any sudden wheeziness, tightness in the chest or throat, difficulty in breathing, swelling of the eyelids, face or lips, rash or itching (especially affecting your whole body) STOP TAKING your medicine and go to a doctor immediately.

You can drink alcoholic beverages while taking Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s, as it does not interact with Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s. It is generally well-tolerated among adults, children. Do not take Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s if you are allergic to amoxicillin, penicillin antibiotics, have liver/kidney problems, and had any vaccinations. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s. As far as it is known, Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s may be used in pregnancy. However, it should not be used during labour or delivery because there is a possibility that use at this stage may affect the baby. If you want to breastfeed, please consult your doctor first.

Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s contains antibiotic Nitrofurantoin, which helps in treating and preventing a wide range of bacterial infections like urinary tract infections (UTIs), including Bladder Infection (cystitis) and kidney infections caused by most susceptible bacteria (susceptible strains of Escherichia coli, enterococci, staphylococci, Citrobacter, Klebsiella and Enterobacter). It is bactericidal in nature and works by killing bacteria that cause infections by prevents the formation of their cell wall required for living. It also inhibits the repairing of bacterial cells. Altogether it kills the bacteria.

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight

Like all medicines, Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s also causes some side effects however, not everyone gets them. You may have some common side effects like feeling sick (nausea) and diarrhoea, loss of appetite, headaches, and dizziness or feeling sleepy. Most of these side effects of Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor. Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s may cause your pee to turn dark yellow or brownish colour. This is normal and not a reason to stop taking the medicine. Your pee will return to normal once you stop taking Uribid 100 Tablet 15’s. Besides this, If you experience any sudden wheeziness, tightness in the chest or throat, difficulty in breathing, swelling of the eyelids, face or lips, rash or itching (especially affecting your whole body) STOP TAKING your medicine and go to a doctor immediately.
