Trazalon 50 MG
Trazalon is a prescription medication. It is used in the management of all symptoms of depression, including anxiety. The active ingredient in Trazalon is Trazodone 50 mg. Depression is a conditio
characterised by persistent low mood. Persons affected by depression present with complaints such as feeling low, decreased motivation, feelings of hopelessness and dread, and loss of interest in daily activities that can be debilitating. Multiple brain pathways and chemical messengers are indicated in depression, chiefly serotonin, norepinephrine and dopamine. The mode of action of Trazalon and other antidepressant medications is by targeting these pathways and neurotransmitters to help relieve the symptoms of depression. This medication should be taken as recommended by the doctor. It should not be abruptly started or stopped, as it may cause withdrawal effects. Taking the tablet at the same time every day is advisable for maximum efficacy. Side effects of Trazalon include swelling of limbs, blurring of vision, dry mouth, fall in blood pressure on change of position (orthostatic hypotension), transient loss of consciousness (syncope), diarrhoea, nasal congestion, and weight loss.

If you are a child or adolescent under 18; this medicine can increase the risk of suicidal ideation in this age group.

If you are intoxicated with alcohol or other hypnotics.

If you have acute narrow-angle glaucoma.
