Spenzo 1mg Tablet is used for Maintenance therapy for chronic schizophrenia in patients without excitement, Agitation, Or hyperactivity and other conditions. Spenzo 1 Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Spenzo 1mg Tablet contains Flupenthixol as an active ingredient.

Spenzo 1 Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:

Maintenance therapy for chronic schizophrenia in patients without excitement, agitation, or hyperactivity

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Spenzo 1 Tablet. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Extrapyramidal symptoms

Dry mouth

Blurred vision

Constipation

Excessive salivation

Excessive perspiration

Difficulty in micturition

Dizziness

Palpitations and fainting

Restlessness

Insomnia

Overactivity

Psychomotor agitation

Hypomania

Epileptiform convulsions

Headache

Drowsiness

Somnolence

Depression

Fatigue

Anergia

Tardive dyskinesia

Weight change

Galactorrhea

Elevation in serum prolactin level

Impotence

Loss of libido

Photosensitivity

Systemic lupus erythematosus-like syndrome

Dosage

Before using Spenzo 1 Tablet, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Spenzo 1 Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:

Alcohol

Barbiturates

Central nervous system depressants

Dopamine agonists

Drugs known to increase the QT interval

Guanethidine

Hypnotics

Levodopa

Thiazide

Tricyclic antidepressant

Hypersensitivity to Spenzo 1 Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Spenzo 1 Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:

Concomitant use with large dose of hypnotics

Geriatric patients with confusion or agitation

Hypersensitivity to this drug

Patients with central nervous system depression

Patients with dementia

Patients with liver damage, cerebrovascular or renal insufficiency, and severe cardiovascular disorders

Presence of alcohol, barbiturate, or opiate intoxication

Psychoneurotic patients

Severely agitated psychotic patients
