What is ROZUSTAT GOLD?

ROZUSTAT GOLD contains Aspirin, Clopidogrel and Rosuvastatin
Aspirin and Clopidogrel belongs to a group of medicines called antiplatelet agents that help to prevent your blood cells sticking together and forming a blood clot
Rosuvastatin belongs to a group of medicines called statins

What ROZUSTAT GOLD is used for?

It is used to prevent,

Blood clots which can lead to atherothrombotic events such as stroke, heart attack, or death
Atherosclerosis
Peripheral arterial disease
Atrial fibrillation
High cholesterol level

Warning & Precautions

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, If you

Are allergic to Aspirin, Clopidogrel, Rosuvastatin or to any of the ingredients in this medicine
Are allergic to other salicylates or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
Have had an asthma attack or swelling of some parts of the body
Have or ever had an ulcer in your stomach or small intestine
Ever had the problem of your blood not clotting properly
Are suffering from gout
Have severe liver or kidney problems
Suffer from blood disorder that makes you prone to internal bleeding
Have planned for a surgery
Have had a clot in an artery of your brain (ischemic stroke)
Have had repeated or unexplained muscle aches or pains
Have thyroid problem
Are over 70 years of age
Have severe respiratory failure
Consume alcohol

Pain and inflammation (e.g. anti-inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen, or steroids)
Gout (e.g. probenecid)
Epilepsy (valproate, phenytoin)
Glaucoma (acetazolamide)
Cancer or rheumatoid arthritis (e.g. methotrexate)
Diabetes (e.g. glibenclamide)
Depression (selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as sertraline or paroxetine or moclobemide)
Iron salts (for treatment of iron deficiency anaemia)
Darbonates (treatment of peptic ulcer and reflux)
Alkali hydroxides (antacids)

Directions & For Use

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
You can take ROZUSTAT GOLD orally with or without food, and at the same time each day
If you take more ROZUSTAT GOLD

Contact your doctor or the nearest hospital emergency department because of the increased risk of bleeding.
If you forget to take ROZUSTAT GOLD

If you forget to take a dose of tablet but remember within 12 hours of your usual time, take your tablet straightaway and then take your next tablet at the usual time
If you forget for more than 12 hours, simply take the next single dose at the usual time
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten tablet
If you stop taking ROZUSTAT GOLD

Do not stop the treatment unless your doctor tells you so

Side Effects

Like all medicines, this medicine also can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Sudden wheezing, swelling of your lips, face or body, rash, fainting or difficulties swallowing (severe allergic reaction)
Reddening of the skin with blisters or peeling and may be associated with a high fever and joint pains
Unusual bleeding, such as coughing up blood, blood in your vomit or urine, or black stools
Fever, signs of infection or extreme tiredness
Signs of liver problems such as yellowing of the skin and/or the eyes (jaundice)

Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
